A young child came to Hibiscus at the age of 9 months with her three siblings. Her mother has a drug habit and has supported the family through prostitution. The children were exposed to bad elements and were neglected in the home. At Hibiscus, we are able to keep the siblings together, where if they were sent to individual foster homes, they would likely be separated from one another. The girl has recently celebrated her second birthday here at the facility. She attends the Hibiscus Child Development Center on campus where she learns her ABCs, colors, shapes, numbers and can even read a little picture book. She’ll be a superstar in Kindergarten one day!! |
