From primary prevention to the most intensive interventions, the vision of Hibiscus Children's Center is to identify strengths and capacities that are innate in children and in all family systems.
x
We shelter children removed from their homes due to egregious abuse. We strengthen family relationships and reduce the potential of abuse. And, we nurture positive futures by ensuring that children grow with the confidence that they can reach their highest potential and break from generational cycles of abuse.

Never has the need for Hibiscus services been greater.
Hibiscus Children's Center has met and overcome serious challenges this past year. The number of families in crisis situations needing help from Hibiscus has never been higher. More and more children were emotionally, mentally and physically impacted by their parent's/caregiver's stress. Homelessness was at an all time high. The severity of child abuse and neglect was up. Government funding of social service programs was slashed. And many long-time Hibiscus donors were not able to provide support at previous levels due to their own financial circumstances.
